Daydreamer

"Daydreamer," from Morgan Jones's Masked Series, depicts a ballerina in an owl mask holding a balloon inside a Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) streetcar, flanked by two other ballerinas. Swirls form an arc above the central figure.

Each original piece of art is made by Morgan from start to finish, including the wood panel and floating frame. After mounting the image to the wood panel, Morgan carefully applies several layers of mixed media embellishments such as gel medium, varnish, 12K white gold leaf, and paint.
